Sergei Vereshchagin told reporters that new rules for the use of personal mobility devices (SIM) will be published at the end of April.
According to him, SIM movement will be restricted in certain places in the city. This is especially true of the center, where metro construction and improvement of streets and squares are underway.
“The presence of personal mobility devices there will have a very negative impact on both traffic and pedestrians. These may be temporary restrictions, but we intend to introduce them this year. In addition, we plan to limit the movement of SIM on the streets where there are parks, squares, government and medical institutions,” the mayor commented, adding that the administration will conclude agreements with kick-sharing companies to comply with regulations.
