More than 160 new trees were planted in the historical center of Krasnoyarsk

More than 160 trees and 550 shrubs were planted in the center of Krasnoyarsk, the mayor’s office reported.

This work is being carried out as part of the renovation of the cross streets of the historical center. When planting trees and shrubs, the presence of underground communications and the aesthetic component are taken into account. All greenery is adapted to the conditions of the city.

“The trees are large, but not too tall and with a neat crown, since there is a lot of road sign information in the center. Shrubs are planted in the form of a single hedge, in groups, or even in a continuous “carpet”, as on the street. Perenson,” explained the mayor’s office.

Let us remind you that in Krasnoyarsk the renovation of four streets is being completed – Karatanov, 9 January, Perenson and Dzerzhinsky. The main task is to make them convenient and comfortable for walking. All that remains is to install trash cans and benches on Dzerzhinsky. At Perenson, workers are correcting defects in laying paving stones and preparing drainage trays for work. The landscapers just have to add wood chips to the soil. This will not only give the plantings an aesthetic appearance, but will also preserve the microclimate and soil moisture.

On 9 January Street, workers are sweeping sand from the paving stones, adding shrub fences, and completing minor pavement work. Asphalt has already been laid on the roadway. Karatanov is actively working with paving stones and landscaping is being completed.

​It should be noted that according to the contract, the work was supposed to be completed by mid-October, but the contractor delayed the delivery of the objects. One of the reasons is archaeological work on the streets, which are located in a special historical zone. All work should be completed by the end of October. Claim work is underway. For each day of delay, the contractor will be charged fines.
