According to the prosecutor's office and the Investigative Committee, the crime was committed in January 2020 near a coffee shop on 78 Volunteer Brigade Street. One of the gang leaders found out that the victims were holding business meetings there, receiving large sums of money from partners and transferring them large sums of money, and instructed eight other members of the group to carry out a raid.

A few days later, accomplices attacked the founder of a commercial company, its director and another man leaving the establishment. The attackers beat them up and took them away 1 million rubles in cash and disappeared.

They did not admit guilt. According to clauses “a”, “b”, part 4 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, the court sentenced five accomplices to imprisonment for a term of 8.5 to 13.5 years to be served in strict and special regime colonies.
