The head of the PiS club Mariusz Błaszczak assessed on Friday that there is a catastrophic situation in Polish public finances. According to him, this knowledge is currently hidden until the presidential election. Then we will probably hear the song that there is no money and there will be no – emphasized the MP.

Blaszczak presented at a press conference in the Sejm the position of the Law and Justice Club “in the face of the catastrophic situation of public finances, which takes place under the coalition of December 13, under Donald Tusk.”

“You can say about a disaster, this is the right word. This knowledge is yet hidden, until the presidential election. Then, after the presidential election, we will probably hear the song that we heard before 2015 that there is no money and it will not be” – he added.

Blaszczak also referred to the MF data from mid -March regarding the deficit for the first two months of the year. The ministry then stated that the budget deficit after February this year. amounted to PLN 36 billion 341.2 million. According to him, the report states that the deficit after the first two months is “giant”. “So we can talk about the fact that these almost PLN 300 billion of the year -round deficit will simply be higher. It was too optimistic when the rulers wrote PLN 290 billion in the budget,” said the head of the PiS club.

This year's Budgetary Act allows a deficit at the end of the year in the amount of PLN 288 billion PLN 770 million.

According to Błaszczak, this situation is the result of bad rule. “Despite the fact that Donald Tusk changed the president of the Central Statistical Office, despite the fact that the Central Statistical Office changed the basket of products on the basis of which inflation is determined, the economic situation of our country is terrible,” he said.

At a press conference, the MP also drew attention to reports on employees' layoffs, including Poland, falling companies such as Rafako or limiting orders in the field of security and about the situation in health care. “Today, from the parliamentary rostrum, the Minister of Finance (Andrzej Domański) claimed that the surpluses were repaid. From the information we extended with hospital directors, he said untruth.

“We believe that the financial collapse in hospitals is intended by the government of Donald Tusk. It does not result from ineptitude, but from the health care plan. They will first lead to finance in health care, and then say that the only solution is to privatize healthcare, privatization of hospitals,” said Black.

The head of the Ministry of Finance Andrzej Domański, asked in March about the situation of public finances, assured that thanks to the influences of VAT and CIT “we are able to keep them in good condition.” He pointed out that the budget revenues from VAT were growing with double-digit dynamics, 17 percent; CIT revenues are also clearly growing, which – as he admitted – was a problem in 2024. “Budget revenues after the first two months of this year go at least as planned” – assured Domański in March.

The head of the Sejm Public Finance Committee Janusz Cichoń (KO) told PAP on Friday that next year, in connection with higher economic growth, the state budget revenues should be definitely higher.

On Friday, the Sejm adopted an amendment to the act that will reduce the health premium for entrepreneurs. The change is to cost PLN 4.6 billion, it will enter into force from the beginning of 2026. According to the Ministry of Finance, about 2.5 million entrepreneurs will benefit from the reform. The change caused an objection, among others part of the government coalition. MPs KO and Polish politicians 2050 and PSL voted for the law; There were PiS, left and circle MPs against the confederation, and the confederation abstained. (PAP)
