The famous actor Doru Octavian Dumitru is going through “difficult health moments”, announced the artist's family late on Tuesday evening, which urges the fans of the beloved comedian to pray “that he will overcome this difficult trial”.

“At this moment, the artist Doru Octavian Dumitru, the man who gave Romanians joy and happiness from the overflow of his heart for more than 45 years, is going through difficult moments of health. He needs your respect and good thoughts more than ever. The artist apologizes to his fans for the fact that the shows that were scheduled, both tonight and in the following days, due to valid reasons, will not take place. With your will to God, they are to be rescheduled”, he writes in a message published on the actor's Facebook page, signed “Family”.

“We ask everyone, but especially the media representatives, to respect the privacy of both him and his family. Pray for him to overcome this difficult ordeal well,” states the message published on the page of the artist known in the collective memory as “DOD”.

The artist was urgently transported from Bacău to the hospital in Suceava, medical sources told HotNews.

According to the local publication Unu pe Trotuș, the show “Globariciu” by Doru Octavian Dumitru, which was supposed to take place on Tuesday evening, from 7 p.m., at the Capitol Cinema in Oneşti, did not take place, after the artist complained of serious health problems during the afternoon, being rushed to the local hospital.

Doru's impresario Octavian Dumitru stated that the Onești show would be rescheduled to a later date, depending on the artist's health.

Doru Octavian Dumitru had shows scheduled for Wednesday at Adjud, Thursday in Buzău, and next Monday in the Capital, at the Palatului Hall.
