Kamala Harris is considering another run for the US presidency. Who are the potential Democratic rivals for the nomination?

Former US Vice President Kamala Harris, who was the Democratic candidate for the 2024 presidential election, said she is considering a new run for the 2028 election, Reuters reports.
Harris, who was attending a meeting of the National Action Network, a civil rights organization founded by the Rev. Al Sharpton, was asked directly by Sharpton if she would run again.
“Maybe, maybe. I'm thinking about it,” Harris said, drawing a standing ovation from the crowd.
Kamala Harris added that she would consider a run if she could do a good job “for the American people” in 2028.
She was Joe Biden's running mate, but lost the 2024 election to Donald Trump, who won both the popular vote and the electoral college. Harris previously served as a senator and attorney general in California. She also unsuccessfully ran for the Democratic Party's 2020 presidential nomination.
A possible candidacy in 2028 would come as Democratic voters have indicated in opinion polls that they want other party leaders after the failure to Donald Trump.
The National Action Network's convention drew several potential Democratic candidates, including Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker.
