Alexandru Cumpănașu, permanently paid in the file in which he was accused of illegally obtained European funds

Alexandru Cumpănașu was permanently acquitted by the Bucharest Court of Appeal, in the file in which he was sent to court by DNA on the charge that he had to study higher education to engage as an expert in European funds carried out at the National School of Political and Administrative Studies (SNSPA), Agerpres reports on Thursday.
Sent in December 2022, Alexandru Cumpănașu was initially acquitted by the Bucharest Court in June 2024. The decision was maintained by the Bucharest Court of Appeal.
Alexandru Cumpănașu was accused of DNA of lying of being an expert IT, in a project with European funds, and in this way he would have obtained the amount of 308,630 lei, the equivalent of approximately 60,000 euros, for participating in the project.
According to DNA, during 2016, Alexandru Cumpănașu would have determined the person in charge of a project implemented by the Ministry of Development in partnership with SNSPA to hire him as an expert IT, given that he did not meet the requirements of the job description (those to hold a diploma of university studies and to have a minimum of 1 year).
Later, although Cumpănașu would have promised several times that he will bring the respective documents to attest the employment conditions, not until the date of completion of the project.
