A suspect in serial arson of cars with Ukrainian license plates was detained in Poland. Photo, video


The suspect was caught immediately after another arson, and during a search in his house, substances capable of forming explosive mixtures were found.

According to law enforcement officials, serial arson attacks have continued since June 2025. They were not connected, but a detailed analysis of the evidence made it possible to establish the involvement of the detainee in them.

The court sentenced the suspect to three months' arrest. The total damage from arson is estimated at more than 262 thousand zlotys. For destruction of property, a man could face up to five years in prison.

According to Eurostat, 995,925 Ukrainian refugees were registered in Poland in August.
