According to the minister, “It is proposed to reduce the number of positions in the local administration, but through a system that we consider correct and applicable ”.
“We do not propose the reduction of positions evenly, at all UATs (administrative-territorial units). There will be a reduction percentage of about 20 and something percentbut that means that where the local authority, so far, has worked below the maximum limit of positions and managed the efficient organizational chart – with several vacancies – only vacancies will be abolished, ”explained CSEKE Attila.
“Some employees will have to leave”
The Minister of Development explained that there will be several mayors from which the unoccupied positions will be eliminated.
“On the other hand, where the organizational chart is full, The reduction will involve a reorganization of the institution, and some employees will have to leave. There the reduction of 20-25% will automatically mean restructuring. Those who are very good will find their place elsewhere. This staff reduction is in favor of local authorities and means issuing budget pressure where it is staff employed“, said the official.
Cseke Attila also announced a “rMassive Education of approximately 57% of the number of positions in the offices of the local elected officials and the dignitaries elected at national level “:
“From about 10,700 positions, starting with those from the Prime Minister to those of Secretary of State, almost 6,000 positions will be reached.”
“The prime minister will have five instead of eight”
At the deputy mayors, the counselor offices will be abolished, said Cseke Attila, who explained what will happen to the ministers' advisers:
“The ministers have four, will have three councilors. The prime minister will have five instead of eight, as well as the deputy prime ministers and in the central administration. 6,000 positions out of 10,000”.
The minister also said that an additional reduction of approximately 4,000 positions will take place in the Local Police.
“In total, it is about 40,000 low positions. About 30,000 on the organizational chart, 6,000 on cabinets and 4,000 on the Local Police”stressed Cseke Attila.
