Ursula von der Leyen reacts to another attack by Iran. “Unacceptable”


“Today, our partner country, the United Arab Emirates, has once again fallen victim to brutal missile and drone attacks from Iran. I express my full solidarity with [prezydentem ZEA] Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahajjan, the people of the United Arab Emirates and our partners in the Middle East,” emphasized Ursula von der Leyen.

The head of the European Commission also stated that “these attacks are unacceptable and constitute a gross violation of sovereignty and international law.”

Ursula von der Leyen emphasized that security in the Middle East region “has direct consequences for Europe.”

“Therefore, we will continue to work closely with our partners on de-escalation and diplomatic solutions to put an end to the brutal actions of the Iranian regime, both against its neighbors and its own people,” we read in the entry of the head of the European Commission.

Iran has resumed attacks on facilities in the UAE

The United Arab Emirates' foreign ministry on Monday strongly condemned Iran's resumption of attacks, warning it was a “serious escalation.”

Earlier, Iranian drones and missiles flew over the UAE and caused a fire in the oil infrastructure. These are the first such attacks in almost a month.
