Hisense wins platinum medal in EcoVadis. The company is among the world's top sustainable companies

When we talk about innovation, we most often think of modern design, smart functions or state-of-the-art technology. All these define Hisense products. However, beyond performance and specifications, the company is constantly investing in another essential aspect for the future, sustainability.
This approach is not visible at first glance and does not appear in the list of features of a product, but it is part of every stage of the company's activity. From production and logistics, to employee relations and collaboration with suppliers.
A concrete result of these efforts is the EcoVadis Platinum medal for sustainabilityawarded to the European factory where Hisense appliances are made. The distinction places the company in top 1% of over 150,000 companies evaluated worldwide.
Hisense's sustainability strategy
To achieve this level of recognition, Hisense has developed a complex, integrated organization-wide strategy that includes investments in energy sources clean and energy efficient, compliance with international standards ISO 14001 (environment), ISO 50001 (energy) and SA8000 (social responsibility), transparency through verified reportingaligned to global standards, as well as adherence to United Nations Global Compactthe world's largest corporate sustainability initiative.
The company has also implemented dedicated training programs for employees, environmental management systems and clear policies for partners and suppliers.
Measurable results
The progress achieved following this strategy is reflected in concrete data:
- 5.3 MW of solar energy generated annually at the factory in Slovenia;
- 100% of employees trained in human rights and anti-discrimination;
- 100% of production units certified in environmental and social management systems;
- 96% of suppliers have sustainability clauses included in their contracts.
What does this mean for consumers?
For customers choosing a European-made Hisense product, these results mean more than technological performance. They reflect a long-term commitment to environmental protection, consumer respect and responsible development.
Thus, sustainability is not treated as an additional feature, but as one foundation on which the company builds its entire activity.
The EcoVadis Platinum award confirms that Hisense doesn't just talk about responsibility, but puts it into practice in a concrete and systematic way.
