Bolojan: The block in Rahova will most likely have to be demolished. Two seriously injured people will be transferred abroad

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan declared, on Friday, that the block affected by the explosion in the Rahova neighborhood will no longer be able to be rehabilitated and will have to be demolished, according to the first estimates of the State Construction Inspectorate.

“Unfortunately, this morning we had this tragedy and I express my sympathy for the families, for the deceased, for the injured, for all the residents of that block because their lives were basically turned upside down by this explosion. I understand that there are three deceased and there are two more in a quite serious condition. And two, unfortunately, have quite serious burns and the Minister of Health informed me that they agreed to be transferred to abroad. The other cases are in a stable condition, but unfortunately this tragedy clearly generated this number of victims and the damage to the resistance structure of the block”, said Ilie Bolojan on Radio Romania Actualităită.
Three people lost their lives and two others are in serious condition with severe burns. According to him, the two patients will be transferred abroad for specialized treatment, following the decision taken by the Ministry of Health.
“From the first estimates of the State Construction Inspectorate, it is very likely that this block will no longer be able to be rehabilitated and will have to be demolished,” stated Ilie Bolojan.
