Belarus claims that he had shot down drones that deviated from the trajectory, during the attacks between Russia and Ukraine

Belarus, an ally of Russia and a neighbor with Ukraine and Poland, announced on Wednesday, September 10, that he had shot down drones over his territory during an exchange of blows between Russia and Ukraine during Tuesday night, without specifying their origin.

The Ministry of Defense of Belarus said that he had shot down the Territory Drone “who had lost their trajectory ”without specifying whether it was Russian or Ukrainian drones. He added that the Polish and Belaruse forces were mutually informed about the proximity of the drones.
“During the exchange of fires during the night between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, the forces and aerial defense units of the Republic of Belarus continuously followed the drones that deviated from their course due to the use of the electronic units of the parties involved in the conflict”, explained the head of the General Staff of Belarus, general-major Pavel Muraveiko, according to Reuters.
“Some of the lost drones were destroyed by the air defense forces of our country above the territory of the Republic”, a he said.
The Polish army announced on Wednesday morning that he had shot down drones that violated his air space during a Russian attack on neighboring Ukraine, in an action that could be a major challenge for Europe.
It is for the first time since the outbreak of the War in Ukraine, in 2022, when a NATO member state acted directly against Russian objectives in its airspace. Following the incident, four airports were closed, and Polish and Allied fighter jets were raised from the ground.

In front of the deputies in the Parliament, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said: “There is no doubt that this challenge is incomparably more dangerous from the point of view of Poland than the previous ones. “
Tusk said that Poland has requested the invocation of Article 4 of the NATO treaty, which allows member countries to raise a problem before the North Atlantic Council (the main political decision-making body).
Then consultations take place to determine whether territorial integrity, political independence or security of a Member State have been threatened.
Tusk said they are expecting greater support in these consultations.
“This is not just a war for the Ukrainians. It is a confrontation that Russia has told the whole world.” he said.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that the Polish army recorded 19 incursions of drones into the country's airspace during the night.
