Chief cardiologist of the Russian Ministry of Health Evgeny Shlyakhto listed signs that may indicate the development of myocardial infarction.
The most common symptom is chest pain, which manifests as a feeling of tightness, pressure or burning. As experts warn, pain can spread to the shoulders, arms and abdomen, which sometimes leads to misdiagnosis of problems with the spine or digestion.

Particularly dangerous are cases when a heart attack occurs without characteristic symptoms. This situation often occurs in patients with diabetes, whose pain threshold may be altered.
“These are heart attacks that are either asymptomatic or have signs that, at first glance, are not associated with heart disease,” Om1 Novosibirsk experts quote.
Doctors emphasize that if any of these symptoms appear, you should immediately seek medical help. Delay can lead to irreversible consequences – the death of heart muscle cells and the development of heart failure. Timely treatment in a hospital setting allows you to restore blood flow in the myocardium and prevent serious complications.
