The death of a woman and child in a fire near Krasnoyarsk turned out to be criminal

A 40-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk is suspected of involvement in the fire in the village of Areiskoye, Emelyanovsky district, as a result of which a woman and child died.

Law enforcement officers put forward a version of the criminal nature of the incident and it was confirmed during a forensic examination.

“According to investigators, on the evening of October 13, a man acquaintance came to visit the woman. There was a conflict between them, during which he struck her several times on the head, as a result of which she lost consciousness. In order to conceal what he had done, the attacker started a fire in the house and disappeared,” the Investigative Committee said.

The man was detained the day before. In the near future he will be charged and a preventive measure in the form of detention will be chosen.
