FC Rapid announced that the match with CSC Dumbrăvița in the Romanian Betano Cup will take place in Giulesti, although the host, on paper, will be the team from Banat.
As happened in the 2022/2023 season, Rapid and Dumbrăvița were assigned to the same group of the Romanian Cup. Then, although the people from Timișoara should have been the hosts, being the lower-ranked team, from the lower division, the game took place in Giulesti, a proposal accepted by those from Dumbrăvița considering the state and facilities of the local stadium, one that does not have a nocturnal installation.
The same will happen this year. The match scheduled for October 30, in the first stage of the groups, it will also take place in Giulesti, also with Timișoara as hosts in theory. It is a proposal unanimously accepted by the parties involved – and by the television stations that will produce the game, given that it avoids traveling to the west of the country and the superior infrastructure.

“The match with CSC Dumbrăvița in the Romanian Cup is played at Giulești!”, says the announcement of the cherry-white club, which promises “more details in the coming days”.
The game will be played from 21:00. The group of the two teams, A, also includes the first-division teams CFR Cluj, FC Argeș and Metaloglobus, respectively the second-league team CSM Slatina.
