New buses running on gas engine fuel began transporting Krasnoyarsk residents (video)

This morning in Krasnoyarsk the first batch of buses powered by environmentally friendly gas motor fuel, new to the city, went on line. MAZs began transporting passengers on the right and left banks along routes No. 12 microdistrict Severny – village Successful” and No. 19 “Stele – Pier”.

The new buses are easy to distinguish from the rest – their body is blue.

The mayor's office also spoke about the interior equipment:

“All 40 buses are equipped with a climate control system, air conditioning, heating devices – it will be comfortable both in winter and in summer. For safety, everyone in the cabin is equipped with 8 cameras that monitor the situation both outside and inside, including in the driver’s cabin. There are validators for a cashless fare payment system and a system for calculating passenger flow – it allows you to fully control the load and adjust the traffic schedule. Also, all cars have a low-floor design and are adapted for transporting passengers with limited mobility, and the “Talking City” system works for the visually impaired.

The buses will be based on the territory of motor transport enterprise No. 7. The refueling time for one is about 5 minutes; two can be connected to the complex at the same time.

Let us remind you that the new buses were manufactured specifically for Krasnoyarsk at the Minsk Automobile Plant. They were purchased in preparation for the 400th anniversary of the city on the initiative of the regional governor Mikhail Kotyukov.

“In total, as part of the leasing program, 110 more cars should arrive in Krasnoyarsk by the end of this year. All of them will go on routes as they arrive and are completed. Crews will work on the new buses passenger motor transport enterprise No. 7​. The goal of updating the bus fleet with equipment running on natural fuel is to improve the environmental situation and improve the quality of public transport,” the mayor’s office said.
