Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said that potential financing for the supply of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine could come from three sources: the Purl Al NATO program, a “Mega agreement” negotiated with the United States and frozen Russian assets, Ukrinform reports.

He made these statements at a common press conference with the High EU representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, according to a Ukrinform correspondent, quoted by News.ro.

Asked about possible financing options for Tomahawk missiles, Zelenski suggested three options. “An option is the Purl program [Lista priorităţilor Ucrainei] of NATO. Through this mechanism, NATO purchases various types of US weapons with own funds and then transfers what we need, ”Zelenski said.

The second potential source, he added, is an important bilateral agreement with the United States – “Mega Deal” – the negotiations for which they are still underway. “The second option is a direct purchase through the Mega agreement. It is a large enterprise and there is still much to travel,” he said.

Intense discussions with Trump

Zelenski also added that funds from frozen Russian assets could also be used to purchase Tomahawk missiles.

“It is certainly a good option,” he said, stating that it is still too early to discuss the exact quantities or conditions of potential deliveries.

US President Donald Trump said Ukraine could receive Tomahawk cruise missiles if Russia refuses to follow a Ukraine's war settlement.

Zelenski announced on Monday that he will meet with his American counterpart in Washington on Friday, where the two will discuss Ukraine's anti -aircraft defense and long distance attack capabilities.

The two leaders discussed both on Saturday and Sunday, against the background of intensifying negotiations on the possible provision of Long-range Tomahawk to Kiev, and a Ukrainian delegation led by Prime Minister Iulia Sviridenko is to be a visit to Washington before Friday's meeting.
