No sub-statutory regulations, ordinances, decrees of people who think that they will regulate Poland's legal order outside the statute are binding on the state – said President Karol Nawrocki on Tuesday during the ceremony of awarding judicial and assessor nominations.

Nawrocki emphasized that judges must serve Poland by respecting the constitution and the laws adopted by the Sejm and signed by the president. He emphasized that this also applies to the Act on the National Council of the Judiciary, which – as he assessed – is legally in force.
He stressed that as the guardian of the constitution, he would keep an eye on it. – And no sub-statutory regulations, ordinances, decrees of people who think that they will regulate the legal order of Poland outside the law do not apply to the state and do not apply to those who want to faithfully serve the Republic of Poland. It is obvious that in your work you will interpret the law, but always based on the Constitution of the Republic of Poland and specific acts, Nawrocki noted.
The president assessed that these are difficult times for the Polish system. He assured that he would unequivocally strive “to solve all issues of the Polish system and justice system.” – Because I do not agree that the law should be read by politicians as they imagine it, because it is not an announcement of the law, but an announcement of simple lawlessness – he said.
He stressed that he would not agree to this, nor would he agree to “segregate judges into neo-judges and pale judges.” (PAP)
