Mark Rutte on the Taiwan-China conflict. “They can force Russia to attack NATO”

— If China took action against Taiwan, it is extremely likely that it would force its younger partner in this relationship, i.e. Russia under the leadership of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, to move against NATO so that we would have something to do, Rutte said during a speech at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Ljubljana.
China and Russia's actions towards Europe
This is another time when it is publicly said that China may want Russia to maintain its aggressive actions against Europe.
In July, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas reported that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi had said at a meeting with her that Beijing could not accept Russia's defeat in the war in Ukraine. According to media reports, Wang argued at the time that a possible Russian defeat could allow the United States to focus all its attention on China.
