The Bucharest Court of Appeal rejected, on Monday, the request of the former commander of the MAPN logistical command, Cătălin Zisu, to lift the measure of judicial control. The decision of the magistrates is final.

“On the basis of Art. 216 paragraph 3 CPP Rap. At Art. 215 ind.1 para.5 CPP rejects as unfounded the complaint formulated by the petitioner Cătălin Ştefăniţă against the ordinance no. 30/3/P/2024 from 06.1025 of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice- regarding corruption offenses committed by the military.

The court's decision is final.

Cătălin Zisu is accused of DNA of abuse in the service. He is accused of obtaining for himself or for another an undue use, with particularly serious consequences, in continuous form, in the file regarding the payment of not made works for the extension of the Ghencea Military Cemetery. The damage in the file is estimated at almost 12 million lei.

In another file, Zisu is suspected that he instigated the former commander of the unit who managed the Ghence III Alexandru Nedelcu military cemetery to approve the concession of 49-year burial places to persons who did not meet the legal or close conditions of Zisu-affecting the interests of the MAPN.

Following the accusations of corruption, in February 2025, the MApN submitted to the Presidential Administration the proposal for urgent issuance of the presidential decree for the reserve of general lieutenant Zisu. Ilie Bolojan, the interim president of the time, signed the decree regarding his transition.
