“Homecoming, as a son of the village”
In a separate message, the Ileni community reported that the visit took place on Christmas evening.
“Christmas evening brought joy to Ileni Village. President Nicuşor Dan's visit to the Museum of Ileni moved us and honored us. It was a return home, as a son of the village, a moment that reminded us that the connection with the places of birth remains alive, regardless of the paths of life,” the locals said.
“Thank you for returning home and for carrying Ileni with you,” the residents of the village told the president's grandparents.
