In mid-May, the sun is already hot, and the spring wind dries the skin on the backs of the hands and wrists. After gardening, long trips out of town, or wearing light windbreakers, the skin on your hands often becomes rough, red, and flaky. Ordinary creams are quickly absorbed, but do not provide a long-lasting effect, and I don’t want to spend money on salon treatments right now. But in reality, everything is solved much simpler. No complex procedures or purchased scrubs are needed. One home bath once a week is enough, and the skin of your hands is restored, becomes soft and well-groomed even after contact with soil or water.
You will need:
oatmeal – 3 tablespoons
olive or sunflower oil – 2 tablespoons
warm water – 1 glass
How to do:
- Pour warm water over the flakes and leave for five minutes to soften.
- Add the oil and mix thoroughly until it becomes a thick paste.
- Dip your hands into the mixture, spreading it evenly over your wrists and back of your hands.
- Leave for 15-20 minutes until the mixture begins to dry out slightly.
- Rinse off any remaining residue with cool water and gently pat your skin dry with a soft towel.
Oatmeal gently exfoliates dead skin cells and soothes irritation from the spring wind, while the oil creates a thin protective layer that keeps moisture inside. Together they restore elasticity to the skin without greasy shine or stickiness. Hands after the procedure feel like after professional care, but without fragrances and chemical components.
Do this bath once a week, and even during the period of active spring work, your hands will look well-groomed and ready for open sleeves.
