The real estate developer One United Properties has carried out restoration work for the former Ford Hall in Bucharest, a historical building that has been modernized and brought back to the public circuit as a sustainable mixed-use space, called One Gallery.
The building, located in the development of One Floreasca City of One United Properties, was the first Ford factory with an operational assembly line in Eastern Europe. The land on which the factory was built was bought in the early 1930s by Henry Ford. The factory opened in 1936, with 100 employees. About 2,500 vehicles were assembled in the factory year by year, until 1948, when the factory was closed after Romania entered the Soviet influence. The main car built in the Bucharest factory was Ford V8 Fordor Sedan.
Marketta Food Hall, gastronomy area, will be operated by Tomcat Hospitality and will bring culinary options for both gastronomy and daily visitors.
Also, Food Hall will emphasize inclusion and will bring together various kitchens.
At the same time, with an area of 6,000 sqm interior and exterior spaces, Marketta Food Hall will include restaurants, terraces with over 2,000 seats, co-working spaces, a speakeasy members bar, 500 parking spaces and others.
The One Gallery will include, in addition to the concept of Food Hall proposed by Tomcat Hospitality, and certified office spaces, a museum area, which will celebrate the history of this building, as well as a multifunctional hall for theater shows, cultural events, concerts, conferences, housed by the historical illuminator to cover the floor.
The gross development value for One Gallery was over 100 million euros.
