The warehouses of heating stations that consume coal from SUEK-Krasnoyarsk enterprises contain more than 3.4 million tons of fuel, which fully complies with the standards adopted by the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation. Over the past 5 years, the Company’s coal mines have achieved consistently high production rates, increasing volumes by 45%.
Mining equipment at coal mining enterprises has been prepared to operate under winter peak load conditions. In November, the repair of the main mining machines – rotary excavators used in coal mining – will be completed. One of the most powerful mining machines of the Borodino open-pit mine, ERP-2500 No. 4, will return to the face, where the modernization of the electrical part is being completed. It will improve the reliability of equipment and also improve the working conditions of miners. A complete update of the electrical part this year also took place on machines used to prepare coal seams for mining or stripping: ESh-10/70 No. 17 and EKG-8 No. 2237. At the Nazarovsky open-pit mine, the ESh-20/90 dragline No. 29 is being modernized today.
In addition, the enterprises updated their fleet of auxiliary equipment: a new motor grader, tracked and wheeled bulldozers, a hydraulic excavator, a loader, a fuel tanker, and a mining dump truck were put into operation. To increase production capacity, mining dump trucks were supplied to the Nazarovsky open-pit mine from the Borodino and Berezovsky open-pit mines. The railway workers of the Borodino vocational school also prepared for winter: over the summer they carried out an inspection and repair of the railway tracks.
“Coal miners understand the high responsibility entrusted to them – to provide heat and light to homes, social and cultural institutions, and industrial enterprises,” says Evgeny Evtushenko, General Director of JSC SUEK-Krasnoyarsk. — Coal production is carried out around the clock, seven days a week, and is regularly supplied to generation stations in the Krasnoyarsk and Altai Territories, Novosibirsk Region, the Republic of Khakassia, as well as to housing and communal services facilities in the Khabarovsk and Primorsky Territories. To date, supplies at stations are 28% higher than last year. We are ready to ensure reliable heating season in the regions of Siberia and the Far East.”
