There is a variety of rose that is resistant to adverse weather conditions, and even a beginner cannot destroy it. We are talking about the ground cover rose Tuscany. Experienced agronomist Nikolai Vladimirovich Khromov spoke about its advantages, timing and features of planting.
Here's why you should choose Tuscany
This is a ground cover rose that spreads in a brightly saturated carpet, does not fade in the sun and is not afraid of rain. The buds are approximately 4 cm, the color is ripe strawberry. The bush is powerful, the shoots are tenacious, flexible and prickly.
Dense double flowers are resistant to ultraviolet rays and last a very long time. The leaves of the rose are glossy, which means it is resistant to fungal diseases. Frost resistance is above average.
The variety is great for decorating slopes and creating a natural effect. With normal care, roses will bloom all summer and even September without interruption.
Another advantage of the variety is that it is self-cleaning. Faded flowers fall along with the peduncle, so the bush will always look neat and tidy.
When to plant Tuscany
The landing period is long – from mid-April to the end of May. The soil must warm up to a temperature of at least +10 °C. It is important that there is no risk of return frosts. Over the summer, the bush will grow a root system and adapt to the microclimate of your site.
The earthen ball should not dry out, so during dry winds regularly water the young plantings.
