The Krasnoyarsk Territory will review the list of territories for the provision of Arctic hectares

November 29 16:03

The Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory has considered a bill that makes changes to the territories for the provision of Arctic hectares. The project was discussed at a meeting of the Committee for the Development of Northern and Arctic Territories.

Minister of Economy and Regional Development Tatyana Magdibur told deputies of the regional parliament that the proposed adjustments take into account requests from local governments of Norilsk and the Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets municipal district to change the boundaries of the land plots provided.

According to the federal information system “NaDalniyVostok.rf”, 74 land plots with an area of over 50 hectares have been provided for free use in Norilsk. This represents about 76% of the envisaged area. On the remaining part there are passages to land plots, and part of the land is not in demand due to its location on low terrain and accumulation of water.

Appeals regarding the provision of land on the territory of Norilsk for free use continue to be received, so the city administration proposed to form a new territory, within the boundaries of which land plots located at a distance of three kilometers northwest of the border of the Talnakh district, with an area of about 49 hectares, will be provided.

The situation is different in the Taimyr Dolgano-Nenets Municipal District, where land plots are provided to citizens in Dudinka and the village of Ust-Port. In Dudinka, 15 plots have been provided for Arctic hectares with a total area of about 17 hectares. But the territory within whose borders they are provided will also be changed. The reason is the intersection with the water supply zone of Lake Samsonkino – the only source of domestic and drinking water supply in the northern city. In the territory of the village of Ust-Port, not a single application for the provision of land plots was submitted.

Lyudmila Magomedova, chairman of the northern committee, noted that the changes will help the law become more popular and attract more Russians discovering the Arctic.

The bill will be considered in two readings on December 4 at the next session of the regional parliament.
