The president of the Sibiu County Branch, Sebastian Suciu, announced on Monday that he resigns from the management of the organization and that he also renounces the membership of the party, showing that his decision comes from the courage “not to accept imposed political compromises, the latter being the source of all problems in the county and the whole country”.

“Starting today, I resign from the position of president of the Sibiu Aur branch and the membership of the party. I built the branch from zero 2020 with 10 members, the mission was a complex and full of challenges. It was necessary for competence and vision, but especially personal, financial and professional sacrifices. Reality, a debt that I assumed with honest people, dedicated and deeply involved, ”wrote Sebastian Suciu, a former deputy in the previous legislature, in a message published on his Facebook page.

“I managed to transform the branch into an active, respected structure, present in the local public life. The decision to withdraw is not an easy or meaningless one,” he added.

Sebastian Suciu argued that the decision comes as a consequence of “the courage to tell things by name and not accept political compromises.”

“This change does not come from a mere inner choice, but rather it is the consequence of the courage to say things by name and not accept political compromises, the latter being the source of all problems in the county and from all over the country. Sebastian Suciu was the golden candidate in the local elections of June last year for the position of mayor of Sibiu, but no longer found on the list of gold candidates for the December 2024 parliamentary elections.
