Romania, world champion at dumbbells. Cuban Luis Lauret brought the last medal for our delegation

Romania has concluded with 4 medals the World Championships from Forde (Norway), distinctions won by two athletes: Mihaela Cambei (one gold and twice silver) and Luis Laure Rodriguez (silver).

The last medal was brought by the Romanian athlete of Cuban origin Luis Laure Rodriguez, who made his debut under the tricolor this spring. Naturalized Romanian and legitimized at CS Olimpia Bucharest, Lauret won the silver medal yesterday, within the 110 kg category.

He obtained the medal by lifting 188 kg, after missing the first attempt at this weight. But in the thrown style he missed all three attempts, one at a time at 213, 215 and 217 kg, so he did not appear in the hierarchy. The gold was won was conquered by Uzbecul Akbar Djuraev, with 196 kg, which won the gold medals and the style thrown (232 kg) and in total (428 kg).

Romania ended the competition with four medals, one gold and three silver, the others being obtained by the Mihaela Cambei Olympic vice -champion, gold and silver, in the category 53 kg.
