On the night of October 10, the military of the aggressor country of the Russian Federation attacked the facilities of the Ukrainian energy system, in particular, in the Kyiv region. According to Kalashnik, a total of 110 thousand subscribers were left without electricity.
The official explained that all critical infrastructure facilities and other enterprises important to the population were switched to alternative sources immediately after the shelling.
However, Kalashnik still called for consuming electricity sparingly.
“Even if the light has returned to all homes and institutions, it is important to use it wisely, not to turn on all devices at once, to turn off those that are not in use in order to avoid overloads – this helps energy workers maintain stability and ensure uninterrupted power supply for everyone,” the head of the OVA emphasized.
He added that Ukrainians must be prepared “for any challenge” from the aggressor and keep their power banks charged, stock up on water, charging stations and other necessary things.
