In Krasnoyarsk, a drunk driver fell asleep at the wheel and rammed 7 cars

In the Krasnoyarsk microdistrict of Cheryomushki, a drunk driver of a Toyota fell asleep at the wheel and caused a collision with 7 parked foreign cars. This was reported to the traffic police.

An accident occurred this morning on the territory of the courtyard passage of house No. 28 on Shevchenko Street.

The 22-year-old driver admitted to the police that shortly before the incident he had been drinking alcohol about 300 meters from his home, where he was heading at the time of the accident. During the examination for intoxication, the breathalyzer reading was 0.69 mg/l, which is 4 times higher than the permissible limit.

For driving while intoxicated, administrative charges were drawn up against the driver under Part 1 of Art. 12.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, which provides for punishment in the form of a fine of 45,000 rubles and deprivation of rights for a period of 1.5 to 2 years. He was also brought to justice under Article 12.37, Part 3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Repeated failure to comply with the requirements for compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicle owners.” The car is placed in a special parking lot.
