US Vice President JD Vance said on Friday that the US, under Donald Trump's leadership, will carefully choose when using military strength and will avoid involving lasting conflicts, which he described to be a deviation from Washington's recent policies, Reuters reports.

Supporting a speech at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, he also said that the country is facing serious threats from China, Russia and other nations and will have to maintain its technological advance.

“It was the uncontexated domination of the US ended,” Vance told the graduates, who will become officers in the naval forces and in the body of the Marine prisons.

JD Vance recalled that Donald Trump's order on the use of force against the Houthi rebels in Yemen eventually led to an armistice, as part of an agreement by which the organization agreed to stop attacks on American Golf targets.

“We should be cautious in making the decision to give a blow, but when we hit, we give a strong blow and we make it decisive,” said Vance.

Critics for Trump's predecessors

Vance, a former Ohio senator who served in the body of Marine kids, accused some of Donald Trump's predecessors of involving the US in non -essential conflicts for American national security.

The current vice president did not name the presidents to which he refers, but his remarks suggest that he was referring to Republican George W. Bush, who launched the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and his successor, Democrat Barack Obama, who continued the war in Afghanistan. The chaotic withdrawal of the US from Afghanistan from 2021, from Joe Biden's mandate, continues to be harshly criticized by Donald Trump.

“We had a long experiment in our external policy that gave the national defense and maintaining our alliances on the construction of nations and the mix in the business of foreign countries, even though these foreign countries had very little to do with the basic American interests,” says JD Vance.

“Ready with the undefined missions, ready with endless conflicts,” the US Vice -President said.

He claims that the US has enjoyed a period of domination after the fall of the Soviet Union and that the American economic integration policies have returned against the US.

Trump has asked to increase US military spending, and this week he ordered the construction of the Golden Dome missile defense system, a vast network of satellites and weapons on the orbit of the Earth, which will cost $ 175 billion. The US president will speak to graduates from the West Point Military Academy on Saturday, New York.
