The court for 2 months imprisoned ex-mayor Nazarov Vladimir Saar, accused of receiving a bribe. The former official will be in jail until December 7, 2025, the prosecutor’s office said.
During the election of a preventive measure to Vladimir Saara, the court took into account the position of the prosecutor. The prosecution considered that the former mayor can be hidden from the investigation and put pressure on witnesses in the case, so it should be in the pre -trial detention center.
Recall that a criminal case has been instituted against Vladimir Saar under Part 6 of Art. 290 of the Criminal Code (receiving a bribe). It was previously established that in the period from 2023 to 2024, the accused was in the position of Mayor Nazarov reached an agreement with LLC Promstroy on obtaining illegal monetary remuneration.
The bribe was intended for providing advantages in the conclusion and execution of municipal contracts for road construction work in the city and amounted to 3.5 million rubles. With his illegal actions, the former official helped Promstroy LLC win the competitive procedure and conclude a contract in the amount of 100 million rubles.
