UOKiK conducts a dialogue with the banking sector, wants stronger protection against unauthorized payment transactions (NTP) – UOKiK said.

On Tuesday, another meeting of the President of UOKiK took place with representatives of banks regarding unauthorized payment transactions.

The goal is to continue changes in practices in this area and further sector's activities to reduce risk for its clients – UOKiK said.

The office stated that the President of UOKiK was conducting 14 proceedings in which he charged banks regarding irregularities in considering consumer applications regarding unauthorized payment transactions (NTP).

“At the same time, the President of UOKiK continues to dialogue with the sector so that through developed tools and security procedures, banks would counteract fraudulent transactions aimed at consumers,” wrote UOKiK.

“We have repeatedly emphasized the need for banks to develop high consumer protection standards against fraudulent transactions. We hope that the sector will not stop at the solutions developed so far and make an effort to protect the savings deposited by Poles even betterand ” – said the office (PAP Biznes)
