– Our main task will be to defend NATO airspace and respond to possible violations. We are prepared to capture objects, including aircraft and drones, which could invade the Polish airspace – said in an interview with PAP, Deputy Minister of Defense Andreas Flaam. He added that the possible use of weapons is always determined by the NATO command in Europe.
The Norwegian Ministry of Defense points out that the presence of the F-35 in Poland is also preventive-it is not only to strengthen air defense, but also to be deterrent to Moscow. – The very presence of these machines in the region reduces the risk of provocation – emphasized a few days ago in Warsaw, the defense minister of Norway Tore Father Sandvik.
The head of the Ministry of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz reminded that Poland is waiting for the supply of its own f-35 fighters. The first two copies are already in the state of the Air Force and are used to train pilots. – Until the full introduction of Polish F-35 to service, the support of allies is crucial for the safety of our sky – the minister pointed out.
