On this day, Sergey Berkovich Teplitsky, an honorary citizen of the city of Birobidzhan, was born in Birobidzhan.
After graduating from 7 classes of secondary school No. 1, Sergey began working in the Metalist industrial artel. Quickly mastered the profession of a locksmith. But, as it turned out, this was not his professional vocation.
In 1956, he was drafted for military service in the army. In 1959, he began working as a mason in the Birobidzhanstroy construction trust. Sergey Berkovich quickly mastered a new profession for him. A young builder worked in a biddish at the construction of the workshops of the Dalselmash plant, the City Palace of Culture, the regional psychiatric hospital, an extension to the regional hospital, the city thermal power plant and residential buildings. He became a highly professional mason, he was awarded the honorary title “Master Golden Hands”. He was appointed foreman.
S. B. Teplitsky did not stop there and continued to improve the technology of masonry and the construction of multi -storey buildings. He went to his studies to the best construction organizations of the country.
Sergey Berkovich was awarded the medal “For Valiant Labor. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of V.I. Lenin.”
By a resolution of the head of the Birobidzhan city administration dated 05/31/1992 No. 319 he was awarded the title “Honorary Citizen of the city of Birobidzhan”.
Sergey Berkovich passed away on August 12, 2014, was buried in the city of Birobidzhan.
