In Achinsk, police revealed the theft of electricity on an especially large scale. The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region spoke about this.
The duty station received a message from a representative of the energy company about the theft of electricity by one of the rural enterprises. During the inspection, it turned out that during the period from October 2025 to January 2026 in the village of Gorny, an unknown person made design changes to the electricity metering devices at the substation.
During the search, police found a mining farm on the premises of an agricultural enterprise and seized 179 system units, a flash drive, a journal, bank cards, a laptop, a video recorder with CCTV recordings, and a purchase and sale agreement for mining equipment.
The actions of an unidentified person caused damage to the energy company in the amount of more than 1.2 million rubles.
Based on this fact, a criminal case was opened under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”. Currently, the police are identifying those involved in the crime and carrying out the necessary verification activities.
