Sunday and Monday the temperatures will have normal values for this period, being higher than those of the previous days, when Romania was affected by an unusual cold wave, but the rains will return starting next week, according to ANM director Elena Mateescu.
The maximum temperatures will reach or exceed 20 degrees in the southern part of Romania, but a cold wave that includes the country again and will raise abundantly from Tuesday, the ANM chief explained on Antena 3 CNN. In some areas, since Sunday night, rainfall will appear again.
“At least on days 7 and 8, Tuesday and Wednesday, we will have quite significant rainfall in our country. Cumulative in 24 hours, it is possible to exceed, again, 50 liters per square meter, as much as the flood rate is. This is the limit of a month October in our country,” explained Mateescu.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the rains will be especially in the eastern half of the country, and the temperatures will drop again by 10 degrees.
“The temperatures will fall on Tuesday and Wednesday, somewhere to 10 to 17 degrees. Only on Thursday, in the second part of next week, again we will talk about temperatures of 21-22 degrees. We already notice that, this time, the western half is colder, on average. Muntenia, in Dobrogea and the southern half of Moldova is possible, ”said the head of ANM.
The director of ANM says the weather will be marked by this alternation of temperatures by the end of October.
