Andrej Babisz wins the election in the Czech Republic. There are already talks about the government

Talks are needed because although the populist movement of Ano Babisza won the election, it is not able to create a majority government by itself. Babisz has already ruled out any agreement and cooperation with the parties of the current coalition in the election campaign. “We would betray our voters” – said Babisz in a triumphant speech, when it became clear what the balance of power would be in the new deputy chamber.
After the first meetings, politicians of the potential government coalition ano, SPD and motorists did not talk to journalists. Both of the meeting lasted after about half an hour. Well, it should have 80 out of 200 parliamentary fines. SPD 15, and motorists 13. The majority government could only arise with the joint participation of these three groups. Another variant may be a minority government tolerated by SPD and motorized.
One of the closest associates of Babisz Karel Havliczek, before talking to the partners, expected that they would present their demands related to the future government. Analysts are of the opinion that on the part of SPD these demands will not be excessive, because the election result of the extreme right turned out to be worse than expected. In the campaign, the SPD leader talked about the readiness for his people to fill several positions in the government, including departments of foreign and internal affairs. After the election, he should have more modest – they believe analysts. They pay attention to state -owned companies, the management of the Chamber of Deputies and the position of deputy ministers.
Babisz and his colleagues exclude the participation of SPD politicians in the government, also due to their postulate to leave the European Union and NATO. Havliczek, answering the question about such a request, strongly described it as a “red line”, which he will not exceed. With the quiet support of minority government, both groups do not have to give up their program principals.
One of the motorized leaders, Filip Turek, before the meeting with Babisz told journalists that his party would “bid high”. He spoke, among others That he could be a minister of foreign affairs or industry and the head of the Petr Macinka party “would be an ideal minister of the environment.” Motorized agree with ano as to the non -acceptance of the euro and illegal migration. They reject green order and do not want to leave the EU and NATO.
Conversations under the aegis, which are to bring closer to the creation of a office led by Babisz, had to start on Saturday, because on Sunday representatives of the victorious movement were invited to a meeting with President Petre Pavel. The head of state wants to find out how Babisz and his movement imagine creating a government.
Pavel will also meet on Sunday with politicians from the SPUL coalition, which finished in the election in second place and with the movement mayors and independent (state). Both of these formations created Petra Fiali's office. On Monday, Pavel will talk to the other parties that will sit in the new Chamber of Deputies.
