Murder at the UW campus. The man attacked with an ax, a woman is dead

The porter attacked by the 22-year-old perpetrator at the UW campus was over 60 years old. A security guard was also wounded who is in a critical condition – she found out PAP.

At 18.40 at the campus of the University of Warsaw at Krakowskie Przedmieście a criminal event took place – said PAP Rafał Rutkowski from the Warsaw Police Headquarters.

In turn, spokesman for the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, prosecutor Piotr Antoni Skiba announced that the perpetrator of the murder was detained.

“He is a 22-year-old Polish citizen, he is not a resident of Warsaw,” he told PAP.

He added that the perpetrator attacked over a 60-year-old porter in the Maximum auditorium. He also threw himself at the bodyguard trying to intervene, who is in a critical condition.

Intensive work of police and prosecutor's officers is underway. Monitoring was secured. There are not yet known reasons why the 22-year-old with-as TVN said-Toporka-attacked employees of the University of Warsaw. (PAP)
