The authors of the study refer to the Polish Development Fund, which shows that until February 13, 2025, 19,911 people benefited from the right to withdraw after the age of 60 – i.e. almost 30 percent. out of 95,173 entitled.

The rest, over 75,000 people, despite reaching the age of payment, still save in PPK. Among the payers were 9,643 women (approx. 28 percent of authorized women) and 10,268 men (about 17 % of authorized men).

The analyzes show that the moment of reaching the universal retirement age in the case of women strongly affects the decision to start payments from PPK. 59 percent of them begins to pay the accumulated funds right after the age of 60, which is the fastest as possible. Up to 65, payments start almost 92 percent. women.

In men, the situation looks completely different. Before the end of 65 years of payment, 36.2 percent began. of them. However, shortly after reaching the universal retirement age (65 years), this percentage of payers increases rapidly – up to 81.9 percent.

“This shows that for men, the key moment when deciding to pay funds from PPK is to obtain the right to a pension, and not to reach the age that enables them to pay with PPK.

In -depth research indicates that men show the relationship between the payer age and the average amount of accumulated capital – those who wait longer can pay more. In the case of women, such a relationship has not yet been observed, “the study was written.

Analysis of decisions made by persons who have already made or started withdrawals indicates that the previous decisions are heavily burdened with too low value of accumulated capital.

According to PFR data, the average capital of payment was a maximum of about 10,000 for women and about 18,000 for men.

As the data show, the vast majority of PPK participants (over 94 percent) choose a one -off payment.

The average amount of such payment is PLN 8,431.

Few participants (approx. 3.5 percent) decided to pay 25 percent one -time payment. funds and the distribution of the rest to 120 installments. The average capital accumulated in PPK in this group was clearly higher – over 17,000 zloty. People who pay the whole in monthly installments had a similar level of savings, but there were very few such cases – 0.8 percent. (PAP Biznes)
