Applications can be submitted after the second round of elections is launched – i.e. after counting the votes and announcing the results of the first, which took place on Monday morning. People who would like to receive a certificate of voting for the second round have time to submit an application at any commune office until May 29.
The application is submitted in a paper form with its own signature at any selected commune office. The voter's certificate receives “immediately” – personally or by a person authorized to do so. In the latter case, the applicant must draw up an application for a certificate and authorization.
If on Sunday someone voted in their circuit in the country, but during the second round of elections he will be abroad and want to vote, he can submit a request for recognition in the list of voters at the territorially competent consul – information on this topic is on the ewybory.msz.gov.pl website. He can also download a certificate of voting right at any Commune Office.
The certificate will have to be presented in the District Electoral Commission, which, adding the voter's name in the “Notes” column, will include the annotation “Certificate 01.06” or “from 01.06”. The PKW guidelines for the regional commissions indicated that “the Commission is particularly careful whether the certificates of voting law presented by voters relate to re -voting.”
The National Electoral Commission emphasizes that The obtained certificate is obtained only once, so it's important not to lose it. In case of lost, destruction or theft of a voter's certificate, he will not be able to vote, even if he wants it in the place where he lives, because he will be removed from the office of voters, where he was previously included. The PKW also reminded that information on the alleged possibilities of obtaining more than one certificate for the right to vote by both the first voting and to vote again is not true.
The PKW also noted that the regional election commission is obliged to pay special attention to whether the voter presents the original certificate, i.e. whether it has a hologram with a print “PRP 2025”, which are secured certificates. Records of issued certificates of voting is kept in the Central Register of Voters; In addition, each commune is obliged to settle accounts from all the holograms received. According to the Electoral Code, counterfeiting of the document, processing it and using such a document as an authentic is a crime against elections.
