A resident of Nazarovo confiscated someone else's car, whose wheel he got drunk

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory, a 40-year-old resident of Nazarovo was condemned for re-driving, intoxicated, the prosecutor's office said.

In April 2025, the man decided to ride to the store by car, although he was deprived of his rights and at that moment was intoxicated. For a trip, he decided to use Volkswagen Touareg, owned by his niece.

The prosecutor’s office noted that a drunken trip always creates a real threat to the life and health of other people, but the man did not think about it. Law enforcement officers detained him quickly enough. The medical examination recorded the state of intoxication: the concentration of ethyl alcohol vapor in exhaled air was 1.50 mg/l.

In relation to the man, they opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (control of a car under intoxication subjected to administrative punishment for driving in a state of intoxication).

“Given the position of the public prosecutor, the court appointed him 300 hours of compulsory work with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for 2.5 years. An important result of this case was the confiscation in the state’s income of the expensive Volkswagen Touareg of 2020 of the release, ”the prosecutor's office explained.
