On April 18, at the Krasnoyarsk HPP of the En+ company, the all-Russian campaign “Total Dictation” was held for the sixth time.
In total, 45 sites operated in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, more than 1,100 people wrote the dictation. The site at the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Station is very popular every year.
“Supporting the event is already a good tradition for us. Every year we see high demand for our site among participants. Literacy is not only an important, but also a truly exciting part of our lives, and we are happy to promote people’s desire for knowledge, language, and culture,” said Stanislav Legenza, director of the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Plant.
The author of the text of “Total Dictation” this year was a writer, a member of the jury of the Yasnaya Polyana literary award, and the rector of the Literary Institute. Gorky Alexey Varlamov. The text is based on reflections on the childhood of Alexander Pushkin and little-known pages of the poet’s biography associated with his family.
The text was dictated by Natalya Varfolomeeva, a well-known presenter of the morning program on the Yenisei TV channel. For her, as for many participants, visiting the station was a real discovery – the first in her life.
“This time I have double joy – I again became a participant in such a large-scale project as Total Dictation, and besides, I visited such a wonderful place. I have been working as a journalist for 20 years and it seems that I know everything in theory – power, historical milestones, the names of the builders of our hydroelectric station. But in fact I wasn’t there. And now the gap has been filled. This is truly strength and power. Complete delight,” the presenter shared her emotions.
The dictation on the hydroelectric power station was written not only by residents of Krasnoyarsk, who take this opportunity to look at the hydroelectric power station up close, but also by employees.
“I have long wanted to take part in the Total Dictation – and I am very glad that I was able to do it at work. The familiar environment helped me concentrate and enjoy the process,” shared Olga Kosova, an employee of the Krasnoyarsk Hydroelectric Power Plant.
This year, other hydroelectric power plants of the En+ holding also joined the all-Russian campaign “Total Dictation”: Irkutsk, Bratsk and Ust-Ilimsk hydroelectric power stations.
