

Tram is financed by receipts from frozen assets of the Central Bank of the Russian aggressor country in the European Union. According to Sviridenko, this is an important signal of the determination of Europe to strengthen the defense capability of Ukraine and provide long -term support.
“I thank the European Commission President Ursul von der Lyain and the EU Commissioner for Economics and the performance of Valdis Dombrovskis for their leadership. These funds are thousands of saved lives, restored cities and the inevitable European path of Ukraine,” the prime minister wrote.
The statement of the European Commission states that this is the ninth tranche of extraordinary macro -financial assistance to Ukraine, with it the total support from the EU is approaching € 178 billion.
Given this payment, the total support of Ukraine within the framework of MFA since the beginning of 2025 is € 14 billion.
This support will help Ukraine satisfy its growing financial needs, in particular in the defense sector, the statement said. € 2 billion from this tranche will be allocated to unmanned aerial vehicles according to the mutual agreement between the EU and Ukraine.
