The head of the European Council Antonio Costa at a conference in Copenhagen ending the EU summit announced that at the meeting of the EU leaders, they initially supported flagship defensive projects, including the creation of a drone wall and the Eastern Flanka guard.

– I am satisfied with a consultation document presented by the chairwoman of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the head of EU diplomacy Kaja Kallas, as well as the priority flagship projects that will strengthen Europe's safety, including the Security of Europe, including the European drone wall and the Eastern Flanka Guard. This is a key step on the road to achieving common defense readiness by 2030. EU peak. The subject of conversations defensive projects

One of the key summary points was to accelerate work on the construction of the Union's defense capabilities. This topic has gained especially in the importance of several member states after the recent violations of the airspace, including Poland, through Russia.

The European Commission in a letter addressed to EU leaders before Wednesday's summit wrote that two flagship projects – the so -called The drone wall and the eastern flank guard – they require special urgency and should be realized immediately in connection with the violations of the airspace.
