The Second Eastern District Military Court recognized the resident Krasnoyarsk Territory guilty of state treason.
It was established that he, being a supporter of the ideology of the Ukrainian militarized association “Legion of Freedom of Russia” (recognized as a terrorist organization and prohibited in the Russian Federation), through the messenger came into contact with its representatives, and expressed a desire to participate in their activities and fulfill tasks in order to fight against the political regime in Russia.
“Realizing the criminal intent, Yuri Sologub printed leaflets received from the representative of the terrorist organization calling for the entry into the VOVO“ Legion Freedom of Russia ”, after which he put them in public places of Krasnoyarsk and sent a photo report about the work done,” the court decision said.
The court appointed Sologub punishment of imprisonment for a period of 20 years With serving the first 3 years in prison, and the remaining part is in a maximum security colony with restriction of freedom for 2 years. The sentence has not yet entered into legal force.
