Mikhail Pichugin, who survived in the Sea of Okhotsk, threatens up to 7 years in prison. He became a suspect in the case of the death of relatives – before that he passed as a witness.
According to our information, the status was changed at the end of December and called Mikhail for interrogation as a suspect under the Criminal Code of 263 h3. Pichugin testified and got acquainted with the examinations. There were no courts yet, only investigative checks in the framework of a criminal case.
In early August, Mikhail, his brother and 15-year-old nephew began to swim on the catamaran to the Chanartarski islands. The ship hit the storm and lost the course. Men were left without anchors, engine and oars. The boat drifted 67 days – it was accidentally found by the sailors and picked up Pichugin on board. Brother and nephew died during the drift from exhaustion. Pichugin himself lost 26 kg, he still restores health.
