The bulldog, an undisturbed companion for over a decade on the track and outside it, died in the arms of the multiple world champion. “After four days of intensive care, during which time he fought with all my powers, I had to make the most difficult decision in my life and to say goodbye to Roscoe. The British champion, who had recently given up several commitments to be with the dog, spoke about the pain felt: “It is one of the most painful experiences and I feel a deep connection with all those who have experienced the loss of a beloved pet”.
Hamilton then remembered his indestructible connection with Roscoe: “I am so grateful and honored that I shared my life with such a beautiful soul, an angel and a true friend. Receiving Roscoe in my life was the best decision I have ever made and I will forever value the memories we created together”.
