Botoșani County is in the negative top of the Romanian areas with the fewest employees. According to national statistics, the occupancy rate of the population, in the North-Moldav county, is only 43.7%. That is, less than half of the county's population produces something. The rest are pensioners, students, people with disabilities, but also many people who have no income. The most vulnerable are those Neets, that is, young people up to 30 who are not employed, but do not follow any form of schooling or training. Often they have no income.

This is why the County Agency for Employment (AJOFM) Botosani has accessed European projects with a value of over 4 million euros, precisely to qualify and offer a chance for employment for these young people. It is one of the largest sets of Romanian projects dedicated to the young people included in this category Neets. In addition to qualifying, counseling, information, the nearly 2000 young people included in projects have many other benefits.

Free driver school for dozens of young Botosani

These are three projects with European funding. One of these is Infobt, with a value of about one million euros and dedicated to a group of 300 young people. With the European money, the representatives of AJOFM Botosani want to qualify these young people in a few very sought after trades. It is about the help of the cook, the tinnitus, the waiter, the painter, the car mechanic or the commercial worker. These are the trades for which it must be at least four graduated classes (level I) or at least eight classes (level II and III).

“Through the respective package we come up with information, mediation, counseling but also professional services, and especially qualification for the entire target group of the project, ie all 300 people. It should be mentioned here the qualification programs with which we will address this target group. A number of 11 qualification programs, of which three programs of level one, three programs, three levels, says Anca Apăvăloaie, director of AJOFM Botosani.

In addition to the qualification courses, the young people involved in the project also receive food during the studies, but also a subsidy of 5 lei per hour through the European Social Fund. At 30 students are offered, the supreme benefit of the project. I mean the chance to make a free driver school.

“30 people will benefit from a subsidy of 3000 lei for obtaining the driving license, a permit to help these people in order to have higher chances in employment”adds Anca Apăvăloaie, director of AJOFM. This is a driver's school for obtaining the driving license category B. The conditions for participating in these Infobt vocational training courses are the domicile in Botosani county, the quality of Neets, ie without occupation and without following studies or vocational training.

Projects over 4 million euros

In addition to Infobt, AJOFM Botosani also carries out other programs for the counseling and professional training of young Neets. This is the Teen-Act project with over 1600 young people between the ages of 14 and 30 but also about the start, a project with over 90 apprenticeship programs. At the same time, last year, the programs for these Neets paid off. From over 2495 young people in AJOFM records, half managed to engage.
